My name is Yvonne Fieldhouse, and I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can open up, explore, and work through problems in a confidential environment.

I have experience working with young people and adults, supporting them with bereavement, relationship difficulties, work-related issues, anxiety, depression, anger, self-criticism and lack of self-belief.

I am a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Counselling using Transactional Analysis. Transactional Analysis can help people find effective ways to communicate and eliminate unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and actions. It can help people take responsibility for their beliefs and actions and can be applied to many problems.

I am a member of UKATA and registered member of BCAP, and I adhere to their Code of Ethics. I hold professional indemnity insurance for the work I do and I am registered with Disclosure Scotland.

My Personal Experience of Counselling

Life can be difficult at times, and we may need help to process our grief, difficulties in the relationship, work-related issues, anxiety, depression, anger, Self-criticism and lack of self-belief. I struggled with Self-criticism and a lack of self-belief. It was not until late in my life, when I began my counselling journey, that this started to change. That is why I am passionate about using Transactional Analysis to help challenge the unhelpful beliefs we can hold about ourselves.
